How we achieve a Montessori Approach
The Montessori Approach provides an environment which is carefully prepared. Every element of the room is intended to help the development of the children, including simple and real objects. The Montessori Approach encourages children to have a hands-on experience, be offered creative opportunities, and partake in collaborative play with their peers.
Our Montessori Environment
All resources have specific locations in a Montessori classroom. When children are finished with an activity, they will be encouraged to place items back into their appropriately labelled places. This helps accelerate their development and instils self-discipline. Our classrooms are constructed around the specific needs and abilities of our children, which permits them to explore, experiment and learn at their own pace and on their own terms, with guidance and support.
Benefits of Montessori Approach
One of the greatest benefits of the Montessori Method, particularly during the early years’ experience, is the focus on hands-on learning and a child-centred approach. This encourages children to share and work cooperatively to explore the various stations in the Montessori classroom. Children in Montessori classrooms, by the very nature of the environment, learn to respect one another and build a sense of community. The emphasis is on concrete, rather than abstract learning, as children participate in activities that teach language, mathematics, culture, and practical life lessons.

Forest School is an approach of outdoor learning and development. Pursuing stimulating play, encouraging independent exploration, inspiring children to be involved with nature and motivate children to learn through positive outdoor experiences.
Benefits of Forest School approach
Participating in regular forest school experiences can offer many benefits to a child’s health, well-being, and development. Children will be involved in manageable risk-taking activities to promote confidence and self-esteem, problem solving, social interaction and independence. The exposure to more outdoor activities during forest school sessions can improve mental health, physical fitness and have health benefits.
